A Few of My Favorite Projects Part 1

So here are a few projects that I've been working on this past year.  I've picked some of my favorites as the highlights of 2010-2011.  I've picked up a lot of pointers from the craft world and I try to incorporate many of them in my work.  Here is a card I made for a friend who had his ups and downs trying to find a job during the recession:

It flips open from top to bottom.  I adapted this design from a project that Laura from Following the Paper Trail did last year.  The papers are from Graphic 45 and is called A Proper Gentleman. I would say this is my all-time favorite card.

Next is this slider card I made using the same paper line:

Front of Card

Back of Card

I don't have a great picture of how it looks while opened.  I may add it later when I figure out how to crop it to the size I need.

The last card in this post is made using yet the same paper line.  I ended up selling it to someone last year.  It was so hard to do that but a client needed a card to give to her husband and I thought that this one would do the job:

And the inside:

I loved this card so much I wanted to marry it.  But alas, somebody needed it more than I did.  Check in tomorrow for a few more cardmaking highlights during the past year.

  2. I'll keep you posted on the tutorial. I only made one and this one took me 3 hours to make. The most tedious part was getting the lapels lined up right. Thanks for the comment!
